Oil and Gas
Seasave's technologies are suitable as an add-on to the systems that are currently used in the handling of drill cuttings offshore. A common task that can benefit from Seasave product is the discharge of cuttings, in addition to many others; whether it is top-hole cuttings or discharge of cuttings from the rig, the Seasave technology can minimize or avoid the spread of particles and confine the waste on a small footprint. The capacity of the technology is compatible to the dynamic operational requirements that apply when large amounts of cuttings are generated.
Generally, O&G industry faces challenges associated with drill cuttings handling in deep water drilling, drilling in environmentally sensitive areas and drilling in ice-covered areas. Seasave technologies can aid the industry to meet their objectives to not pollute. There are many similarities between the general subsea handling of contaminated sediments and cuttings. The generic Seasave systems are therefore suitable for coastal cleanup and pollution control projects.
It is a fact that most harbour areas where industrial activity has taken place over time are severely polluted. The damage potential of industrial contaminants is large and immediate measures are required to mitigate the existing problem.
The current technology used in coastal cleanup enterprises is faced with the problem of spread of contaminants while collecting the sediments for further treatment. Likewise, it is often difficult to decontaminate the sediments in a practical and cost-effective fashion.
The Seasave systems can improve current performance of cleanup operations, by using the proprietary collection and separation technology, and further stabilization by a unique cement and concrete technology.
